I use Word 2003 and want to set the default font to Optima (the template being Normal) but as soon as I type, the font changes to Times New Roman, the template changes to Normal + Times New Roman. This does NOT happen if I set the default font to Arial so why is it doing it with Optima. By the way I am running Word 2003 in a Mac through CrossOver Mac but I think I had the same problem using Word 2003 naturally in Windows XP.

No, I now realise that Optima is not a native Windows font so it must be automatically imported from Mac's own fonts. But does that stop it from working as a default font?
