I have an old dos program i want to use but i use to have to put FILES=127 in config.sys, how can i do this in XP and make it work...i've changed it in system.ini and everything according to the Microsoft knowledge base... but nothing as worked.... any ideas?

What is the exact program, and are you sure it's compatible with XP at all?
The reason I ask is that you gave very little information to go on as to what exactly "doesn't work".
