Hi,

I am a new user of Daniweb, and a novice whne it comes to PC's so please go easy on me.

I have an Athlon AMB 2200+ which is going into a power recycle after running for about 3-4 minutes in normal boot mode.
It works fine in SAFE mode with networking when booting from original HDD . It works fine when I boot the pC normally from a new HDD with XP on it.

I want to get it to boot from original HDD properly as this has all my settings etc.

I have turned off the power restart and now it just crashes giving:

0X0000008E (0XC0000005, 0X00000156, 0XF3693824, 0X00000000)

I don't think its power supply or hardware as PC works fine when booting in normal mode from new HDD with XP on it.

I don't think it's major probelm with original HDD as PC operates fine in SAFE mode, it's only normal mode that gives the above error.

Suggestions please?
