I'm having a strange issue with Microsoft Publisher 2003 on Windows XP.

The problem is when I try to create a shape or text box, there is no border around it. When I try to customize the border in 'Format AutoShape' the Line Color always stays white, or blank no matter which color I choose. To make things weirder, pressing ctrl-alt-del will immediately get the border to show up.

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling Publisher. This problem also seems to be specific to one specific user account.

Anyone have any ideas before I try deleting/recreating the users account?
