I have DirectX 8 installed on my pc and have tried several times to install DirectX 9. Every time I install it I get the feeling that it didn't work because the progress bar starts out at zero and never changes - but a few seconds later it says it has been installed. Games such as Rome Total War and Call of Duty 2 won't work. Anybody know what's wrong??
