I have set up a wireless AP to authenticate through freeradius using certificates. The only problem is the connection keeps dropping then starts up, authenticates, then drops again only to repeat. Using Windows XP with a PCMCIA card in the same room as the AP so I know its not a problem with signal strength. Authentication is going through fine and the server is saying that the client is good. Can't figure out why XP keeps dropping the connection and trying to authenticate again - is there a setting I'm missing?
XP:
use 802.1x authentication through certificate I've created with IP set to the correct subnet of the AP; Open network with WEP key automatically provided. AP correctly pointing to the radius server; set up to use 802.1x. Radius server authenticating user and logs back this up.
