sorry if this is in the wrong place - could not find any other place..

I have been unable to loging to hotmail for two weeks - I try to go via MSN messenger to check email but get a page with
"Service Unavailable - DNS failure
The server is temporarily unable to service your request. Please try again later."

Similar happens after i have entered my user/password at hotmail

I have cleared cache and tried other fixes mention on these pages.

Sys is xp, broadband, netgear router with firewall

try it now. It could be the hotmail server was swamped with requests at the time.
