My connection has been sound for a few years now. My ISP is pipex who has been bought out by tiscali and in turn talk talk.
Recently they have completed work at the exchange I would suspect an unbundling operation.
My issue is that when the connection is left idle ie no in/out traffic. The connection disconnects. I have made sure the idle switch off is set to never, and the idle power save is switched off. I have tested this with out a browser open, it still cuts off.
I have run scans used CCleaner for registry and clean up, cleared all internet files etc. Checked direct in main phone socket without filter.Firewall inable for connection browser, email etc
The 2 little monitor icons in the bottom right on system tray stay blue with traffic/loading. But when idle one blacks out and the forward icon flashes blue to black for about 3 min. I can reconnect instantly but is very annoying.
I have contacted isp but they are dragging feet.

I have read many forums, but no issue seems the same as mine.
