pls how can i configure ip adressing,subneting and getway both manually and automatic

Go to Control Panel > Network Connections > right-click (<Active Connection>) > select properties

If you're on wireless, then go to desktop, double-click the wifi connection icon in system tray. It should be under Properties in same windows. You can configure it from there...

Open Network Connections by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Network and Internet, clicking Network and Sharing Center, and then clicking Manage network connections.

open network connections, go to properties and select obtain ip address automatically(this is automatic)
Then in the same window you will get Alternate configuration tab beside the general tab.click on that. In that you can assaign ip address manually.

IP Addressing is a main concept in Networking field and ip addressing plays a vital role in Networking topology.Depending on class ip addressing is divided into 4 types and they are as below :
Class A
Class B
Class C
Class D
Class E
Class A ip ranges from 0 - 127 and subnet mask is defined as 255.0.0.0
Class B ip ranges from 128-191 and subnet mask is defined as 255.255.0.0
Class C ip ranges from 192-226 and subnet mask is defined as 255.255.255.0
Class D ip ranges from 227-254 and subnet mask is defined as 255.255.255.255
Class E ip addressing is Hexa decimal and is in the form of x to the power of 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,.........etc.

In ip-addressing subnet into subnet is called as subnetting.

If the ip is assigned manually then it is called as static ip and if it is assigned automatically then it is defined as Dynamic IP.
