We have a shared network drive with excel spread sheets on them, the connect between the two buildings is via a microwave, and every now and then the spread sheets will lock up. Can anyone suggest a budget sensitive solution that could improve the connection, and/or help with the freezes?

Jump to PostThere is no solution to this problem. Occasionally, RF connections drop packets, and such "freezes" happens. You need to copy the data to your local drive for reliable viewing. Consider the shared drive a repository and copy stuff back and forth as needed, not use it as a "live" image.

Oooops! you are also facing this hectic problem. You have to check regularly most reommendable updates and install them. Hope so,you will solve this.
