I am trying to set up a Windows XP computer on my network to have remote access using a static IP. I am using an Apple AirPort as my router and got confused while setting it up. I have already got my static IP from my service provider as well as the subnet mask, default gateway and DNS servers.
Which options do I need to change in the AirPort settings? Also, is it possible to have just the one computer with a static IP and the rest dynamic or if I want one to be static do they all need to be static?

Thanks

You can either turn off DHCP on the router and give all pcs a fixed ip or you can do a sort of pseudo fixed ip.

Let me explain. On most routers you can get it to assign (dynamically) a certain ip to a machine depending on the MAC adress of its network card
