Should we slow down AI research to make sure it's safe? Or should we push forward no matter what?
Right now AI is all the rage, but while it goes full steam ahead completely changing the ecosystem of the Internet, it's also putting a lot of factually incorrect information out there into the world at at record pace.

I would have to agree to disagree. Sure, people post their own biased, factually incorrect information about politics, society, etc. on their social media.
I think the amount of factually incorrect scientific, etc. content that AI spits out and generates all across the web is at a complete different level.
I think it comes down to awareness of where the content came from. I know that I can take all posts posted to social media with a grain of salt. Where I think it becomes really dangerous is when all websites, everywhere, start showing factually incorrect AI-generated content that people do not realize is even AI-generated.
