try to run a repair install. shell32.dll relates to graphics card. check for the driver for the graphics card. uninstall it and restart the computer and let computer detect the graphics card and then download the proper driver compatible with winxp

it could be the problem with the CD ROM drive in the computer. Try changing the CD ROM Drive and look for scratches on the XP CD.
