I recommend you do a base install and then install the your required packages. (e.g choose no mirror during the setup). Then add the mirror:
deb ftp.debian.org/debian etch main contrib non-free (not I might be wrong I have not used debian in awhile) to your /etc/apt/sources.list (I might be wrong about this too)

Most atheists I think are primarily liberal but do not necessarly associate themselves with a particular party. For example I believe in draconian punishment for law breakers (like a republican or conservative), very strict laws (no smoking anywhere etc.), very high taxes (like a liberal), and against patents and copyrights. (like a liberal I guess...) So my views are a mix of both parties...with that said I would be more likely to vote for a liberal...

yeah but I am fed up with debians "clean" repos. The debian people just strike me as a bunch of arrogant elitists that some how think that i386 optimization is as fast as i686. I really liked debian but it wasn't fast enough. Its file system was also screwed up. What is with a media and a mnt directory?

get a real distro, debian should be good for you. And yes you will be. Debian and some other distros do not include that much proprietary software in their repositories. So you might have to get it manually.

Who exactly are you talking about? My dad is a "real" scientist. He believes in global warming. My friends dad works at NOAA as a programmer/scientist and he believes in global warming, So who exactly are these scientists that do not believe in global warming? Regardless, the video advocates the proper course of action.
