the book i use is a pretty good one... you should consider looking for it... though i don't know what's it called in English, it is the one from DEITEL... there's two of them about c++... a blue one, which is purely c++, and a green one, which is about c++ and an introduction to Java...

if someone could provide the name for the book... i beleive it should be "How to Program in C++" or something like that...

(i'm pretty sure narue will come by to rip my head off...)

if you ask me... i rather work in DEV...

the difference between them is mostly the way you develop your code... or the headers they use...

i.e.
turbo c++ accepts headers that are deprecated in DEV c++, such as <stdlib.h> (which is <cstdlib> in DEV c++)... or the fact that in turbo c++ you must write the *.h in the header files, or the fact that you can't use namespaces... or that you can't develop functions @ the end of you program... but if you're working with the basic language of c++, you could actually do a nice work in any one...

the only thing is that your program may crash or present errors when written in one compiler and compiled in another different...

you know... recently i had the best idea ever...

besides having my ashes sprayed on an electric guitar and on a zippo lighter, i've already convinced my 12 best friends, my girlfriend and my brother that the rest of my ashes will be dissolved in a drink of my creation (not precisely iced coke :D) and they've agreed to drink it... so i will actually be "inside of them"... not precisely in their memory...

some of you may think it is gross... but... IT'S MY LIFE!!! SO F*** OFF!!!

which one would you choose?

a pretty whole lot of my soon-to-be colleagues system ingeneers are just like me: lazy, always late (meaning time and work), love to work until sunrise, start to make projects until it's too late to finish them in time...
