Hi
I cant quite work it out...? To my knowledge I am not infected however my Toshiba laptop seems to be running a fairbit slower since I hooked up to ADSL The specs of laptop, 1.6mhz, 512MB and 80gb, so I know it could do with more memory but is that the only reason so slow? I used to have wireless internet and that didnt seem slow at all...?
Can anyone shed some light on my Hijack This report pls....

Hi Guys
Just a quick question about something that has been bothering me for some time now. When I am on the internet, using a secure wireless connection, sometimes not all the time, when I am clicking from one page to another, my 'one' click turms into 2,3 or even sometimes 4 or so clicks? Or I may be reading txt on the page I am on and a 'click' comes from no where? This has been going on for months and there doesnt seem to be any sign of intruders at all.
Im confused...is this something I should be worreid about?
Thanking you!! :)

Hi again!!
Well I removed OC and yes my PC is def working better thankyou! Next time when I trial software I'll make sure its only one program at a time! lol
Although its workingv much better I dont think it is 100% normal but maybe thats just because it needs a good tune up? The registry is a mess!! When I run CCleaner or Advanced Windows Care v2, they find approx. 30 reg errors!! And thats after I did a scan a mere couple hrs prior!! Is there something I am doing wrong? I dont understand why so many reg errors....perhaps you can help me?
:-/

Apologies for the spelling mistakes above...I am late for work!
I eagerly await your response :)

Hi
Thx so much for your response and yeah, I try to keep my PC running as smooth and as spyware free as possible. The last few days actually I have thought about uninstalling OneCare completely and uding Ksp as my primary defense. I like the msny more finctions it possess and is very user frinedly. It really does tell you what is running behind the scenes.
Anyway, what are your thoghts on uninstalling OneCare? I will Download Fire Fox now as IE7 definately lets in a lot more cookies and Temp files. I will download it now.
I eagerly swsit your response.
Thx heaps
Rgds Jen

Hi
Just wondering if you could check out my hijackthis log. Over the last two wks my PC has been playing up - running slow at startup, internet, loading apps with Win Media Player having the most problems. I ran a variety of scans and didnt really find anything substantial. It sems to be running a little better after I uninstalled some PC maintanance/tune up programs and spyware programs. The majority of issues seemed to stem from the registry, however previously it had posed not much of a problem.
Anyway pls see my hijackthis log below. Any feedback/comments much appreciated!!

Hi :)
I am yet another person posting my HijackThis log as I have tried for a while now to make sense of it but I just cant get my head around the jargon. I have compared my log to others posted and havent found anything too suspicios....well not that I can see anyway!
At this stage, my Toshiba A100 Notebook, isnt doing anything significantly out of the ordinary, but as I am on it 24/7, I notice little things such as it taking slightly longer to load web pages and also at start up after I have typed in my password. I have also noticed that once my desktop appears, as it continues to load startup programs, a splash screen (I think that is the correct term) appears and IMMEDIATELY disappears. Because of this I cannot tell you what it says or even tell you a colour...that is how quick it appears and disappears.
Also, one last thing, there is normally two processes of cidaemon.exe running in Task Manager which I check frequently. I think the log below only shows one...unless I have missed it???
OK, well hope that gives you enough info & background and helps anyone viewing the log file below dicipher just what is wrong. PLs Help!
Appreciate ALL feedback! THANKYOU!!!
