Hi !
I am getting a strange error message when opening MS Word. I have downloaded the Office 60 day trial and when I tried to open Word, I get an Error message 'The operating system is not perfectly configured to run this application'
Can any one pls advise...is it a virus, or a faulty installation of the trial perhaps?

there is a file I think called normal.dot.
.dot is the file tht has al the details about margisns, defaults etc. if this has become corrupted WORD will not work. just delee the normal.dot and all may work.
I can't remeber wher is i is kept but probably in the office directory
