It would be one thing if this were a change which helped guests and hurt all regular members. But, based on this thread at least, you're the only one who doesn't love the new format.

Well it IS ok Dani but it IS confusing if your trying to find out WHAT TIME it was posted on Jan 14th for example........

Maybe having a POPUP of what time it was posted appear if you hover over there handle (You know how that menu appears if you click thier handle,well if you HOVER over it,maybe a POPUP with the time of that post can be displayed) (Like it does when you hover over an avatar,it popups and says "The Dude's avatar" for example)

Thats correct "Dial when connection not present" is what you want.....

Well one time when i was cleaning my tower i pulled the memory card and put it back.. When i booted up all i got was BEEPING.. (I didnt push it down in all the way) Thats 1 thing anyway you might check.....

Have you tried a system restore??

Sometimes restoring your registry fixs many things :)

Boot your computer and press and hold F8

When the menu comes up selec option 5 (Command Prompt)

When your @ the prompt type this: scanreg/restore

When you get the list choose one from BEFORE this started...

I was gonna suggest you try to RESTORE YOUR REGISTRY and see if that works.......

Im not sure whats causing it..Have you recently cleaned inside your tower and forgot to make sure everything was tightly in place??

Does anyone else have problems connecting VOICE on aim with anyone??

I recently discovered my Cable modem firewall blocks the attempt to go voice,but when i add MY COMPUTER to the DMZ zone so the firewall is disabled basically,it still wont connect..... (I have a local firewall also)

I called my friend last night who has AIMPHONELINE and he also has a cable modem (Toshiba) Yet his modem didnt block our voice connection..... I have a PCX 5000 and he has a PCX 2600 if im not mistaken.......

I just dont understand why i havent been able to 'GO VOICE' with anyone for over a year now.......

RAM doesnt have anything to do with it does it?? (I only have 56M (It always used to work))

Then i was wondering if "aimtalk.dll" has something to do with talk connections and if i upgraded THAT FILE to the latest if it would work then....

Im running AIM 5.5.3598ca (Best version,no games no crap)

Found this cool piece of software and thought of you guys straight away!!

If you cant over-clock your board,try and raise the FSB instead!!

A friend was running at 1000Mhz at 100FSB. He is now running at 1200Mhz at 120FSB. With just a 200Mhz increase he can definetly tell the difference.. Like a NEW pc all together!!

He did say it affected his on-board sound though (I dunno to what extent (Might require some tweaking))

Sounds like you have AUTO DISCONNECT enabled.....

Go into your preferences for your dial up connection and disable it....

Goto INTERNET OPTIONS/CONNECTIONS and then edit the connection settings (Find "Use auto disconnect" and make sure its disabled)

It auto-drops you if no activity happens withing 5 mins i think (I cant quite remember)
