Classic intelligence failure, nothing nefarious about it.

Classic intelligence failure that started a full blown war. Inexcusable.

As to Syria, guess where Saddam shipped a lot of his stuff when things started heating up in 2002?

Are you just saying that because that's what you think?

Also, why would the rebels used chemicals on the people they've been trying to protect? I don't believe it was to make the Syrian gov't look bad because they've been doing a good job of that on their own.

Obviously the wishes of most Americans don't mean squat. Besides, the way most Americans were duped into going into Iraq because of weapons of mass destruction or Aiding Osama, a lot of them seem to believe everything they see on CNN,MSNBC, and other leading media/news outlets give them.

Sorry but I'm in a cynical mood right now and American politics are nothing but

Look at my right hand whilst my left hand does dirty deeds

Argh!

It will always come down to preference of the person giving their opinion. For me, I would take 7 over 8 any day. I have Windows 7 on my main pc and had 8 on my laptop. I found 8 to be glitchy in that the apps would consume too much available resources and bog down the laptop. So much so that I've since gotten rid of 8 and install Linux, which is my absolute favorite OS (I'm using Ubuntu).

Back to Windows though, if it is a must, I recommend 7 for sure!

We have a Yellow Lab cross with German Sheppard. He's a handsome dog but he sheds a lot. We have to vaccuum every other day because of him. He's 8 now and has become a really good old boy although he's starting to get pain spots when we pet him :(. The vet says it's an age thing :(.

Isn't the US the world's biggest super power (aside from China)... we pretty much are responsible for what happens in the world

I completely disagree with this kind of sentiment. Just because you are big doesn't give you the right to push and bend other countries to your will. That's what bullies do, because they are big.

I can't help but be on the fence about Syria. On one hand, no other country should be involved in what appeared to be a civil war. That kind of shit needs to be figured out between to the government and the people fighting the government.

On the other hand, using chemical agents to win the war does not make for a "fair" battelfield (if there exists such a notion).

What ever happened to the notion of peacekeeping (like Canada's role in the 90s with Bosnia)? Wouldn't it be better to send in
peace-keepers
that don't have a side and enforce peace on both sides? Just a thought!

Surely someone can write a program for this problem?

This is simple! Just ask and she'll either say yes or no. If yes then your doom awaits (jk) and if no then at least you'll spare yourself some real heart-ache later on.

In all my youth-like wit, I proposed to my wife with the following question:

Would you object to not marrying me?

Worked like a charm and as far as I'm concerned, doesn't give her the option to say no and mean it.

Computer sciences cover a broad range of courses. To say that there's an aid before the start of it imo is false. Like you had stated, learning the hardware and software side would be beneficial but as for programming languages, you'd have to research what your school will be teaching. Also, it's not just programming, hardware and software. Learning documentation is critical for all systems. Database systems are big in computer sciences too. There's so much really.

If I were you, I would see what your first couple courses are and start learning them.

Yeah, I'd say that with using the screw driver, you damaged either the cpu, motherboard, or (most likely) both. Time for some new hardward.

As for using your pc's cpu, if you don't mind possible destroying that one too then go for it but I would strongly recommend that you don't.

Stuugie 50 Marketing Strategist

Unfortunately I don't think that is possible. They great proprietary designers of this world don't like to make parts like this compatible across other platforms. At least not as a rule!

Stuugie 50 Marketing Strategist

If the pins are ben or broken you will have troubles for sure. The only way they wouldn't stick deep enough is if the pins are bent or the whole CPU isn't aligned properly. Either way, it's bad news.

Stuugie 50 Marketing Strategist

It will be difficult for anyone to give you a definitive answer but I think the CPU is where the trouble is. Three things could have happened, 1, you damaged the CPU, 2, you damaged the motherboard, or 3, you damaged both.

Stuugie 50 Marketing Strategist

I couldn't follow that link either but I thought maybe it was because of work.

Stuugie 50 Marketing Strategist

When you say you cleaned the CPU, what exactly does that mean? The removal and replacement of a CPU is a very delicate operation and can easily be done erroneously. If I was to guess, your problem is there.

@RJ, I think I just threw up a little.

I don't get how sitting on roughly $2 trillion and waiting for the economy to turn around will help the economy?!

I don't know how Keynesian economics could ever work when the government has been bought and paid for, which imo can't be denied. The theory seems alright but because of money improbable. Unfortunately, people get too greedy over money and power and it really doesn't seem to matter who one is because once you get a taste for it you wanna keep eating it.

I saw a video where a guy tested the whole money, power, and entitlement by having two people (at a time) versing each other in a game of Monopoly. The game was rigged to have one person dominate the game and obviously to have the other lose. His studies showed (in a nutshell) that the rigged winners always felt entitled, saying stuff like "you can't touch me, that's my land" or "You've got nothing, it's all mine hahaha". This video isn't the one I saw but it recaps the experiment well. "Just world fallacy"!

I don't see how the business of war is good for the American economy. They spend a lot of $$ on the military complex but only a small percentage of US citizens will benefit. No, it's bad for the economy because it costs Billions (trillions?) per year that tax payers have to pay for. It's a hindrance on the US economy.

LoL, who's the downvoter here? Sneaky bugger. :)

Lets not be too harsh on Obama, after all, he's not really in charge anyways. Big business and their lobbiests are really the ones in charge and that won't change with either the right or the left in political jargon. On one side you have banks while on the other you have big oil. It's all the same BS to me.

 • The Workbook is shared

What I'm not particularly fond of is the one side the US government is taking with topics like this. Take Snowden for instance, here's a guy that can never go home again because he leaked "sensitive" info that "embarassed" the US government. I say, tit-for-tat. If the governements want to watch us we should be able to watch them too. Oh but that doesn't work though because they should be aloud to keep secrets in the name of security. Pisses me off really how we let our governments get away with so much and then forget about things a week later. ^^Feels like ranting^^

Stuugie 50 Marketing Strategist

Wouldn't this type of scenario be a tightly structured scenario though? A relational approach in my opinion would be more than adequate. 1 continent will have 1 or many Countries, 1 country will have 1 or many provinces or states, 1 state will have 1 or many counties or municipalities, 1 county will have 1 or many towns or cities, 1 town or city will have 1 or many neighborhoods.

Really, we're talking about global demographics right? There can be no short cuts in my opinion.

My 2 pennies.
