Jump to Posta Chat bot with video, that would be awesome!!! But I don't think that would be a easy task in vb.net. I would suggest using .gif files that represent emotions regarding what answer is given by your bot.

Most of the Chat bots I've seen are Console applications that doesn't look nice but works the best. Then you get those Flash player ones that look nice but have no real AI which defeats the purpose of a chat bot.

You got me pretty interested in the chat bot thing so I downloaded VERBOT 5
It has a animation window that animates as the bot talks it's pretty cool.
They have released a SDK for the .NET framework so maybe you should start there.
