Hello,

I am working on a web form project in Visual Studio 2012 and MS SQL Server 2008 R2 using Visual Basic.

I would like to place an Excel file template in my project folder which would then be modified using the ASP.NET controls on the page and prompt the user to SaveAs wherever they like on BUTTON click.

Bear in mind the values form the server controls will go into specific cells (e.g Name.Text = "A5").

Can somebody please provide a basic example of how to do this? I can then build a complete one for my application.

You can take a look at this:

or used this

http://epplus.codeplex.com/

In the end you still need EPPlus - Create advanced Excel 2007 spreadsheets on the server
