As ever, I learned it (in 80s) from Soviet pop-sci magazine "Chemistry & Life" (issued by Academy of Sciences (until nowdays)).
Obviously, this stat can be easily verified - if you get the list of all Nobel Prize winners, from 1900, along with their DOBs.
