We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.

I love this quote and feel it can be applied to most anything.

In 1998 my entire group moved from our old control centre into a brand new, state of the art, hurricane proof, hi-tech, custom designed building. Including the system control operators, support staff and R&D staff there were about 85 people in the new building. After a month of settling in I wrote in big block letters on an easel in the main conference room what I think was an original quote from me.

Just because everything is different doesn't mean anything has changed

Sure enough. For the next ten years it was the same old bulls%%t. I think this ties in nicely with the Einstein quote above.

"Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly."

What was Einstein's definition of insanity? I suppose I could Google it, but that wouldn't be very conversational. :-)

Its to repeat the same thing and expect a different result :)

Einstein.... Not worded like that though :)

What was Einstein's definition of insanity?

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." -- Albert Einstein

Yeah, that is the one :)

Yes, it is a quote from John Wooden. I'm bit surprise you actually mention a basketball coach. He pass away couple years ago. He was a great basketball coach and good motivator. I attach a image Pyramid of Success that I follow daily (I try follow it, it's hard sometimes)

A friend of my dad gave me a book on john wooden, so i somehow remembered a few quotes.

I am on the school's basketball team so it makes it sense for me to mention :)

I think all of john wooden's quotes are very memorable don't you say?

Yes, it is. I wasn't like on a basketball team like you but I do read and learn something about quotes from motivators.

Pat Riley to me is the best NBA coach and motivator beside John Wooden.

I think phil jackson was pretty good, not as good as pat riley and wooden though.
