Just thought I’d get people’s perspectives on this: Do you use the same avatar and username across all forums and social platforms?
I used to always go by cscgal, which stands for computer science gal, because I started DaniWeb and got into forums back when I was in college. It was also my car’s license plate at the time.
At some point years and years after college, I switched by username here to Dani.

Nowadays I try to stick to Dani, cscgal, daniweb, or Dani.at.DaniWeb, or Dani.of.DaniWeb. It depends on the context, although pretty much all social I participate in nowadays is at least tangentially related to DaniWeb in some way.
Back in the day on most of the old school programming forums, I used the same name (or a variant).
But too many of them (DiC, devshed) have slipped into the past.
Nowadays, I just make up a longer unique name.
I miss DiC and Devshed :(
