Using iWeb and publishing through another advertiser commonly causes search listings to show the host instead of the site name. Typical technical causes are domain forwarding with masking (the site loads inside a frame) or the domain not being mapped to the hosting account. Quick checks: load the domain in a browser and watch the address bar; if the host URL remains visible or the site is framed, the hosting method is masking your domain. The fix is to publish the site to your own domain root (or have the advertiser set up proper domain mapping) or move the files to hosting that supports custom domains and 301 redirects. That change alone often stops search engines from showing the host name.

Search visibility also needs proper indexing and crawl access. Verify ownership in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, submit a sitemap.xml, and use the site: operator to see what search engines have indexed. Confirm robots.txt and page-level indexing settings allow crawling. Make page content clearly identify the business and location (visible headings, descriptive text and image alt text) so search snippets show your brand instead of unrelated text. As hinted, the page configuration matters — but it is most useful after fixing any domain/hosting masking.

Local signals and real outreach matter for people searching for rentals. Claim your Google Business Profile and local listings, keep name/address/phone consistent across directories, and get natural mentions from marinas or tourism sites. Ignore mass unsolicited e-mail tactics suggested by ; targeted outreach and genuine listings/reviews build lasting visibility. SEO takes time, but fixing the hosting/domain mapping first usually produces the fastest, most noticeable improvement.

Get one of those disks full of e-mail addresses and send out massive amounts of e-mails to everybody explaining your houseboat rental company.

You have to properley fill out the head part of the HTML - specifically the TITLE and META tags. Thats the bits the google crawlers look at. Also try and get backlinks.

Moved to SEO.
