Building links through reciprocal link exchanges is a simple yet very powerful website promotional tool.
If done correctly, increasing your linkage will:

1. Increase your traffic significantly.
2. Improve your visibility in the search engines.
3. Provide an added resource to your website.
4. Save you a lot of advertising money.
5. Save you time.

thanks for sharing nice tips.

You are right, but there is one important thing - in the end of reciprocal link exchange you must have more your submitted links than reciprocal ( backlinks ) on your site - that is the target of this exchange. But many sites, who get reciprocal links can easy remove your link. You can't know which sites doing this and the result in most cases is more reciprocal links on your site and this website promotion tool loose his power.

In my own opinion, one-way backlinks would be more useful than reciprocal ones. And, you could also build this kind of backlinks free.

A Link should be considered as a "vote of confidence." Something you give someone who deserves it because they are a good resource. A resource worth referencing. If your entire link strategy is based on Exchanging, or Reciprocating votes (aka "links"), you are spinning your wheels and wasting your time. Contrary to what is displayed above, You will see:

  1. No significant change in traffic
  2. No improvement in search engine visibility
  3. No added resource or authority to your site
  4. Complete waste of time and resources

Ya, that pretty much sums up the value of link swapping.

Actually, this link building scheme worked well, a decade ago, for about a month.

Rather than relying outside of your web site to empower your webpages, work with what you have; your content, your internal linking structure, your optimizable web page components. You'll never waste one second while spending the time to craft a good Title.

I have to go with Fred on this one. I have set up sites with reciprocal links after optimizing content and internal links and have seen little if any SEO benefit. The benefit my clients have seen from reciprocal links has been that in spreading a bigger net and opening up new paths to find their site they have seen an increase in web traffic.

Can anyone give quality website who receiprocate their links for computer or hardware Links.?

Hi Marc - we were actually just debating whether or not it is worth trying to reciprocate links. Most seem to think that you are better off focusing on more important things, like:

...your content, your internal linking structure, your optimizable web page components. You'll never waste one second while spending the time to craft a good Title.

You can, of course, search the engines for relevant sites that don't mind trading links, but lots of people have experience in reciprocal link schemes - and it has proven to do very little for a site's rankings and traffic.

When it comes to reciprocal links, I recommend that my clients limit them to business partners and other sites that you have a relationship with before or beyond just the link.

This answers very well. Link exchange is not of much significance. Readability of your Website, Contents and quality Backlinks (no reciprocal) would be of high value.

No doubt in this but the link should be relevant.
