Quick, practical strategy for and anyone landing on this long thread: many curated lists posted earlier (for example by and ) age quickly — as noted, domains go stale. Also take and ’s points seriously: mass directory submissions rarely move the needle by themselves. A small, focused set of high‑quality, local and niche listings plus consistent citations will give better long‑term value than dozens of low‑quality entries.

What to prioritize

  • Relevance: local (.uk) or industry‑specific directories that actually serve the target audience.
  • Editorial control: sites that review submissions or require verification tend to be higher quality.
  • Activity and indexation: check that the directory and listing pages are live and indexed.
  • Data consistency: identical business name, address, phone (NAP) and URL across listings.
  • Practical cost/benefit: prefer free or clearly useful paid listings; avoid bulk submission networks.

Simple workflow (apply to each candidate directory)

  1. Audit candidate directories and remove dead/low‑quality entries.
  2. Create a unique 50–150 word description tailored to the category (avoid copying the same text everywhere).
  3. Record the submission and credentials, then check the listing for correct category and NAP.
  4. Verify indexing after a few weeks; if a listing never appears, check for noindex/robots or ask site support.

Spreadsheet template (use as a tracker):

Directory,Location,Category,SubmissionType,Contact,DateSubmitted,Status,ListingURL,Notes

Additional notes: supplement directory work with verified local profiles, trade association listings and content/outreach that earns natural links. Keep submissions conservative and documented so the limited effort delivers measurable, maintainable value rather than noise.

Try to search it in google.. At present i do not have nay and also look for some alternatives as directory submissions are not enough to increase ranking in search engines!

i am an seo expert, i have an UK based project so i also really need this thanks for sharing this link to us.

i used your link but many of the domain is expired inthat list..

Although this is my first post here, here's an advice. Try not submitting your website to too many directories. If you're lucky enough to not get penalized, you might take this effort for nothing, as Google can ignore those links.

Try choosing the best directories, with the highest PR and DA.
