What are other search engines except Google & Yahoo?
Hello,
What are other search engines instead of Google & Yahoo? Can anyone tell me a list of these search engines so I can submit my websites to?
Thank you very much!

Good question — and thanks to , and for the starter replies. Beyond the big global players already mentioned in the thread, there are useful privacy-focused, metasearch and regional engines worth knowing about (for example DuckDuckGo, Startpage, Ecosia, Qwant, Sogou, Naver, Seznam, Ask and Dogpile). They serve different audiences: privacy seekers, country-specific users, or aggregated long-tail traffic.
Practically, you rarely need to manually submit to every engine. Focus first on making your site discoverable: provide an XML sitemap, expose it via robots.txt, use correct canonical tags, ensure mobile-friendly pages, fast load times and structured data. Where an engine offers webmaster tools you can verify ownership and submit a sitemap; otherwise good technical SEO and quality inbound links are usually enough. For the sitemap protocol see Sitemaps.org. For robots rules see robotstxt.org.
If you target a specific country or niche, prioritize the engines popular in that market and follow their webmaster documentation. Also account for language, local hosting or registration rules (for example, mainland China has additional hosting/registration requirements). Start with the technical basics above, monitor where your traffic comes from, and then submit or register only with the engines that matter for your audience.
