Im sharing some values from eMarketer. Despite the recession, small businesses are spending more on advertising on online networks rather than mobile advertising and podcasting. My question for the small business advertisers is: How has it been the ROI for such marketing tactics?

I am exploring the advertising on these sites for a client right now. Are most of these PPC? If they are, like Google AdWords and similar offerings from Yahoo and Bing, then that would be a big part of the increase in spending since you are paying for the clicks only and can target based on demographics so that your dollars spent are optimized.
