I recently broke my laptop screen and I have been using a desktop monitor to get my laptop ready to send in to get fixed. I had no problem using the desktop monitor at home. I am now housesitting and I hooked their desktop monitor up to my laptop. It worked fine. Now when I hooked the monitor back up to their computer it won't work. It says "gestion alim," which I think is French for no signal, for a second and then nothing. I am freaking out because I don't want these people to come home to a messed up computer. At home this did not happen. Please help.
