Dear All,

Can you help this very inexperienced computer user! Now this may be a very regular problem for you solvers out there but here goes:-

My LCD screen has split vertically with true colours on the left and red on the right. This shows itself as bright red on start-up and then a magenta 'wash' over the display when it is working. This does not translate itself into print.

We have a Phillips 170 S4 monitor and run XP home edition.

Please make any solutions idiot proof!

So do you want to get rid of the split screen or do you want to print the split screen so one side has the color, can you clearify.

What size screen is this? Sounds like the vid circuit in the LCD is going to pot.. (Have seen this on various notebooks).. Check internal ribbon and connector cables first.
