I am trying to build a new computer. I will mostly be using it for gaming (RTS games, World of Warcraft, etc...). I have so far come up with a cpu and motherboard

cpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103249

motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131291

The problem I am having is i don't really know anything about graphics cards. I have always used ati cards in the past (currently have an ati radeon x1300) but am open to switch brands if i have to. I really just want to get a card that will work for what I want it to and i would like that card to last at least two years of so before i have to upgrade again. If anyone can help me with this i would gladly appreciate it.

Thanks

You sound like a pretty smart guy, but because I don't hate you, I'm gonna make sure that you don't waste $150. MAKE SURE THAT THE CPU AND MOTHERBOARD ARE COMPATIBLE!!!! I cannot stress that enough. Also, if it's not to late, I'd suggest getting an Intel Processor: from what I've heard, they're a lot more stable, and they are the original guys in the industry.

But more to the point, I think you should get a nVIDIA (http://www.nvidia.com). Also check out Dell's gaming laptops for ideas on video cards. To be honest, I don't think that you need the most powerful GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) in the world to play descent games as long as you GET LOTS OF RAM and have a descent CPU. That's enough of my ranting. Hope you enjoyed. Have fun.

Unless I read the specs wrong I am pretty sure the motherboard and cpu are compatable.

Any suggestions on a type of nvidia card?
