when you slave a hard drive, i know you are talking about hooking the slave ribbon up, but that means being able to run your main harddrive but then also have a second hard drive and be able to access whats on it without actually running the OS that is on it, right?

forget that question, how can i configure my hard drive to slave setting if it doesnt have any jumpers to begin with?

The drive has no jumpers? What model is it? How old?

Are you sure you don't have a SATA drive there?

it is pretty old it is about a 1 gb hard drive it is a quantum firball 3.5 series. What i meant to say is that it has the jumper pins, there are 3 and only 3. But i guess im not sure exactly how to configure them to slave configuration
