I have a custom build CPU with Gigabyte motherboard (Model Name : GA-M61P-S3(rev. 1.0)) VGA Brand : Nvidia Model : geForce 6150se, 6200 le CPU Brand : AMD Model : Athlon 64 x2 dual core Speed : 2.6G Operation System : Win XP 64-bit SP : 2 using dual monitor display.
It has a wild beep tone. Never seems to be consistent, except in that it does not signal anything, that is, it does not beep, it just stays on.
It stays on through login and startup. Sometimes it stops. Sometimes it starts again. It never stops prior to login. It could stop for an hour, then start again.
Also, while detecting drives during startup (prior to login) sometimes none or only some drives are identified as being detected, though they are all accessible.
When shutting down, most times it reboots instead of shutting down. Then on the second shut down, it shuts all the way.
I have system set to standby and hibernate.
