i have no sound on my laptop i have re installed windows xp but still no joy no errors in device manager tried usb speakers now at a loss any help gratefully accepted

hi, have you downloaded all the latest drivers because when i reinstalled vista on my laptop i had to download all the latest drivers from my laptop company

You need the chipset drivers installed. Check the manufacturers site.
