Hi all.

I have read the previous post but mine seems slightly different?

I have a fairly old Advent laptop that starts fine, everything loads clearly etc but when I go to move the screen ( back or forward ) the light will go out & I can barely see the screen although everything is still running.

I'm a complete tech novice but I'm assuming this is some sort of a loose connection?

If anyone can help, suggest links etc it would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance!!

I forgot to mention - it only happens when I'm online. If I'm using word, excel etc it doesn't occur - I use a dongle for my internet connection if that helps?

Hi,
I think it could either be due to loose connection or some other hardware problem, because as you have said it happens only when you are online, then most probably your system is not taking enough load.
I would suggest you to consult a professional laptop repair expert.
