I have three Dell D510 motherbords with the same defect: they won't accept the adapter voltage and so they don't charge the battery either. But on battery power they work fine. I guess there must be one little component on the motherbord that blocks the incoming voltage, but as far I'm not clever enough to find out what it could be. I'd be very thankful if anyone could help me out...
