OK i am new to this so bear with a newbie. I have 2 hard drives with diffrent OS XP of the master ans Lindows on the slave. For some reason it the BIOS will not see the two HDS's and then after a restart it will and it will run fine for a while and then it seems that the HD power down and a error will appear and say tht it cannot write to disk. I have scanned but found nothing. Any thought,

Hello,

I think it is BIOS related. I don't like that the BIOS is not seeing them upon startup, and then the drives are suddenly there. I am wondering if the BIOS has a sleep agent working to power the drives down, and the OS doesn't know how to deal with it.

I would go through the BIOS and disable any power management options.

Thanks i will try that, do i need to disable all PM options?
