why my pc won't read 1gb ram, my motherboard is ECS ddr2 533, when i put 1gb only 512 mb showing in the system memory, what does it mean, please help me how to solve it.

are you sure your using a 1gb stick of ram? it could be show 512MB because thats what your actually using?
