I built my sistem with good enough parts to run all current games, and probobly for some time they will be able to do the same. However, at runtime, a few applications will lock up if I run them more than once per log in (like I use it, quit, try to open it again and the PC locks up)

My main q is: My RAM, which is a pair of 512 sticks, are located in odd number slots. What I mean by that, is that I have 3 slots on my mobo, and I have a card in the slot on the farthest left hand and farthest righthand slot, with one empty one between. Could this be causing any problems?

doesnt seem like the ram to me!
and its okay to have ram in odd slots but try the other way round---see if it has an effect

good luck

Doesn't sound like RAM to me either, but can I ask why you'd want to put them in slots 1 and 3 instead of 1 and 2?

In retrospect, I too wonder why...
