Hi

I have a toshiba setellite pro a100, CD /DVD rom is working fine, but i am not able to boot from CD/DVD rom. any help is highly appreciated

What disk are you trying to boot from? Are you absolutely sure the disk is bootable?

^^^ What Rik said + did you check BIOS settings? Hit F12 at boot and make sure settings are right to boot from optical drive.

Thanks for both who has reply,

I have try with different CD, however i am able to boot from external CD ROM, that is what i currently do when ever i want install OS.
BIOS setting, is setup to boot from CD Drive.
I have also tried by changing the CD Drive.

Before you change your CD-ROM drive try to just clean the lens by any soft dry peace of cloth. It may just some dirt on it prevent it to read normally.
