Hey everybody! I'm wanting to buy my first mac, and I am ga-ga over the G4 powerbooks, but I had a couple of questions about processor speed. The powerbook I'm looking at is 1.67 ghz (I think). I heard somewhere that comparing the processor speed of Macs and Pentiums is like comparing apples (he he) and oranges (i.e. 1.67 ghz on a Mac is much faster than a 1.67 ghz Pentium). Is this true?
Also, Macs are going to start using Pentium chips. Would it be better to buy before or after this change? I don't know anything about when the change is going to happen or if it's a complete change. Just looking for some information and some advice.
