I just ordered a powermac g5 but did not get an apple display. My question is: Do all (or) most windows PC monitors work on Mac's. i didnt get an apple display because i feel like it was too much for monitor ($800 for the 20inch) specially after i had drop'd $4,200 on the tower itself. Does anybody have any good yet cheap(er) alternatives.

what i had in mind was something like...

or

thanks for any help anybody can provide.

(its my first MAC computer ever...after 3 windows PC's (two desktops and one laptop) i finally saved up enough for a G5..anxious for it to be shipp'd to me (4more days)

Yep. They should both work.... PowerMac G5 has DVI, so any monitor that has DVI support will work with a PowerMac, provided that it has drivers for it. (Very unlikely that your PowerMac will not have drivers for it, seeing that they are both major brands.)
