I haven't used it in 2 or 3 weeks, it's mostly just a play games and surf a bit toy. I bought it at Wal-Mart in February of this year.

I go to start it today and when I hit power it acts like its booting up. Shows the Toshiba screen, then goes immediately to a black screen with to sentences on it in the upper right hand corner:

A disk read error occurred
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

My husband is gonna be chapped that we have this $1000 piece of doorstop, so if anyone can help, me please let me know.

My mom has the same problem, what was your solution? She just got a new hard drive, so i'm thinking its a reseat. Please let me know
