Hi can someone please help,
My toshiba laptop usb ports are not reading and picking up usb devices plugged in. When checked in the device manager and tried updating the USB controller it gave me CODE 28.
Thanks

Uninstall the USB drivers, DO NOT remove them when uninstalling. Then right click and pick Search for Hardware changes. Let the OS try to detect and reinstall them on it's own. Reboot after that and try again.

Did you install a device or make a change in Device Manager just before you noticed the Code 28? If so, it's very possible that the change you made caused the Code 28 error.

Undo the change, restart your PC, and then check again for the Code 28 error
