How do i remove power password from cmos

I have a dell latitude core i7 any ideas how i can remove the cmos password
i want to change cmos settings but forgot the password

Contact Dell tech support. They can probably help you. They have a good internet chat tool so you don't have to wait on hold.

Also, in general, you can clear the password by either removing the CMOS battery or by shorting the jumpers assigned to this function.

Dell's cannot be cleared via the cmos battery. You have 2 options.
1- Contact Dell and be prepared to prove ownership of your laptop.
2- Take it to a repair shop and have them replace the security chip with a blank one. This can be expensive.
