Jump to Postgo to the control panel> administrtive tools>computer management.
On the left pane click on disk managment then you will see all of your disks on the right pane. Rightclick on the drive causing you the problems and try to format it again

my friend told me that one of his hard disk drive in XP become inaccessable after it fills to some extend he formated it but the problem reamins the same. please help me so that i cam help him to solve this strange problem.
