The 7900 is quite a bit faster. But the 6800 is cheaper.

Which one has the better price/performance ratio? My guess would be the 6800, but I'm not sure.

Well I have a 6600GT in my current system at the moment. It runs some of the top games out there like Oblivion on med-high settings around 35 fps. I've heard the 6800 Is a good card but I have yet to hear anything really major about the 7900. Looking at the specs of both, I see that the 7900 is quite a bit faster. In performance ratio I would have to say the 7900. Just a guess though because you can't be totally sure unless you have had expereince with both cards. I'm only average in knowledge of hardware so yeah.
