Yes i was just working on my sony vaio (making a video from a hockey game) and the screen went black and i cant get it to come back to the desktop. When i restart it says windows is hibernating.
does anyone know how to get it off of this please?

Jump to Posttry taking the battery out for 15 minutes or so and the putting it back in and see if you can boot up then.
the os creates a file on disk when it begins to hibernate, don't recall the file name, you might search the net for it. if you can get to it (DOS boot floppy) try to rename it but DON'T delete it. if you can get to the desktop disable the hibernating settings. you might try F8 to safe mode.
