My PC has 512 Meg of SD RAM (Thats both slots full). I have one of those weired motherboards with (In addition to the 2 SD slots) 2 x DDR slots. Is it worth me putting in (for free) 2 x 256 Meg of DDR? to add to the SD RAM or might that cause a conflict?

This wont cost me anything so ive nothing to lose.

You will only be able to use one or the other, not both. I would go for the DDR.
